Monica Tesler writes smart, speculative fiction for all ages. As a kid, she made up adventures in the Star Wars universe. Now, she dreams up her own fantastical places then writes about them. Bounders, her five-book, middle grade science fiction adventure series from Simon & Schuster, follows the first class of cadets at the EarthBound Academy for Quantum Space Travel.
Monica lives outside of Boston with her family. She earned her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Michigan. She wrote her first books on the commuter boat on the way to her job as an attorney. These days, she typically writes at the kitchen counter while her puppy snoozes by her side.
